Serra Verde produces rare earth concentrates with a high proportion of the critical Heavy Rare Earth Elements (HREEs) Dysprosium (Dy) and Terbium (Tb) as well as Light Rare Earth Elements Neodymium (Nd) and Praseodymium (Pr).

HREEs are in short supply and vital to a wide range of applications in the automotive, electronics, renewable energy, aerospace, nuclear, defence and other industries. Dy and Tb in particular are used in applications where safety, temperature resistance and resilience cannot be compromised.

Current supply of HREEs is highly concentrated and projected to be in undersupply into the next decades.

As the first large scale provider of all four critical REEs used in magnet production outside Asia, we provide a new, reliable, responsible and low carbon supply to diversify global supply chains.

We have ambitious plans to grow production incrementally as well as through large scale expansions and aim to produce 6,400 tonnes of Total Rare Earth Oxide (“TREO”) by the end of 2027.
